The ongoing crisis in the restive North West and South West regions of Cameroon has forced many inhabitants of the two regions to other neighboring regions.
The outbreak of COVID-19 has further increased their vulnerability making some to lose their means of livelihood. While humanitarian interventions have been done for those who are internally displaced, not much has been on harnessing the renewable energy potentials in Cameroon for their livelihood.
It is within this backdrop that H4BF and MasterPeace Foundation is adding a renewable course to its already existing vocational training programs under a project titled “EN-Power”. The project aims at empowering internally displaced persons and out-of-school youths aged between 16 and 30 with knowledge of renewable energy.
Where possible, opportunities for income generation and knowledge transfer are created to tackle energy, poverty and sustainability. Other existing programs offered under the EN-Power project include;
- Computer studies
- Fashion and Designing
- Smart Agriculture
- Peace Building
Registration for potential students is currently ongoing at the H4BF Head office in Bamenda. You can also register online or in-person at the head office located in mile 3 Nkwen.
